He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Chevalier and Margaret DeVogel; and his sister Terrie. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hull; his children, Sarah Chevalier-Rood (Charles), Danielle Wallen-Becker (Patryck), Adam Chevalier (Lisa) and Dustin Chevalier (Hannah); his grandchildren, Elayne and Camdyn; and his siblings, Cheryl Peterson (Mike), Carrie Brig (Pete), Anna Davey (Ralph), Tabitha Orr (Randy), Denise DeVogel (Mike), Scott Chevalier (Julie), Jody DeVogel, Bobby DeVogel and Dennis DeVogel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
