Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Russell Carl Wester of Superior, Wisconsin, who passed away at the age of 84, on February 15, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtle Wester (Fenton) and Russell K. Wester; and his mother-in-law Barbara VanBuskirk. He is survived by: his wife Maureen; his children, Jackie Johnson (Brad) of Two Harbors, MN, Jennifer Kynell (Derek) of Otsego, MN and Russ Wester (Kris) of Hermantown, MN; his grandchildren, Hannah Martin (Cole), Sam Johnson (Elise Yeager), Sophie Kynell and Erin Wester; his brother Jim Wester (Sandy); his father-in-law Clyde VanBuskirk; and his siblings-in-law, Ann Martineau, Babette Specht and Craig VanBuskirk (Pauline). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Downs Life Celebration Center (1902 N 34th St, Superior, WI 54880). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to St. Jude's, Douglas County Humane Society, or the Superior Salvation Army.
