It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael W. Hietala of Superior, Wisconsin, who passed away on July 9, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Hietala and Charlotte Hietala (Asbury); and his siblings, Craig Hietala, Walter Hietala, Doreen Traiforos, Jenna Neumann, Kathy Hietala and Barb Singh.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael D. Hietala of Opp and Josh Hietala (Ashton) of Esko; his grandchildren, Hayes, Jeremy, Tucker, Penelope and Parker; his siblings, Duke Hietala (Clarice) of Duluth, Jeff Hietala (Sun) of Florida, Janice Vlachakis of Florida and Wilbert Hietala of Carlton; and the mother of his children Katie Hietala. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
