It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary J. Nicholsen of Superior, Wisconsin, born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, who passed away on March 21, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Betty Spicer (Tessman) and Earl Spicer; and her foster sisters, Mary Joan Compeau and Beth Anderson. She is survived by: her husband Keith Nicholsen; her daughter Julianna "Julie Jo" Hayes; her grandchildren, Frank, Joey, Dom, Han and Andy; her siblings, Amy Luella, Chuck Spicer, Todd Spicer and Kent Spicer; and her stepdaughters, Anita Stonehouse and Katie Atkinson. She is also survived by six step grandchildren.
