“I got to know Marie later in her life through emails and phone calls. She was kind and compassionate. As she took care of Sepp all those years. As well as helped Wally & Sis in their remaining time. She always took an interest in my creations. And when it came time to let people know,she told me of her dementia. Rest in peace Marie. You will be missed! I'll pray for all the Wessa family.”

“Mike, Jim, Pat, Bob, Kathy and families: I am so sorry to hear of Marie’s passing. Ever since I was a teenager, she and I were like big cousin/little cousin pen pals. We haven’t talked much over the years, but we always seemed to connect at pivotal points in our lives. Most recently it was during some of the busiest years I had in assisting my mom as her dementia increased. She was often sending me information and words of encouragement and inspiration.
