He was predeceased by: his parents, John Madsen and Harriet Madsen (Thayer); his wife Jean Westland; his children, June Maureen, James and John Madsen; his son-in-law Mark Routh; and his stepmother Mae Madsen.
He is survived by: his daughter Jane Routh; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Madsen; his grandchildren, Lisa Carlson (Ryan), Mitchell Routh (Jill), Matthew Routh (Emily), Christina Smith (Nick), Ryan Madsen, Nathan Madsen, Robin Madsen, Joshua Madsen, Jeff Madsen, Jim Madsen and Stevierae Glanville; his great grandchildren, Rylan, Lyvia, Sophia, Tatianna, Preston, Juliet, Emelia Maureen, Oliver, Stella, Emelia Rae, Trevor, Cameron, Kimberley and Jaxon; and his sister Patsy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
