He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeane Grimstad (Beaudoin) and Roy Grimstad. He is survived by: his wife Nanette Grimstad (Granquist); his children, Michael Grimstad (Heather), Melissa Gondik (Terry) and Marcy Wojick (Douglas); his grandchildren, Karrigan Struckman (Nate), Kennedy Grimstad, Chad Gondik, Heidi Gondik and Jazmine Wilkinson; and his siblings, William Grimstad (Julie), Susan Martin (Terry) and Debi Harmer (Ken). He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
