He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Hooey and Katherine Hooey (Durfee); his siblings, Katherine Hooey and Mark Hooey; his grandson Cameron Hooey; his sister-in-law Jennefer Dee; and his mother-in-law Carmela.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Dee; his children, Tawny Rasmussen (Mick), Heath Hooey (Jeanine), Kelly Hooey, Jay Hooey II and Casey Hooey; and his siblings, Kim Hooey (Michelle), Sue Woods (Bob) and Linda Dunaiski (Paul). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
