We bid farewell to Iris J. Johnson of Superior, Wisconsin, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 1, 2025 at the age of 86. Iris touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Bangs (Quelch) and Chauncy Bangs; her husband Erving; her daughter Dawn "Dolly" Bangs; her grandchildren, Sean, Sabrina Smith and Jon; and her siblings, Richard Bangs, Sandra Drinkwine, Lenore "Lani" Fahey and Kathy Hunter.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Eckstrom (Bill), Paulette Smith, Paul Smith (Vicki), David Smith (Eunice) and Ginny Freeman (Erik Quinn); her siblings, Judith Soderberg and Chauncey Bangs, Jr. (Jeanne); and her sister-in-law Lorraine Bangs. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Downs Life Celebration Center (1902 N 34th St, Superior, WI 54880). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
