He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard F. Mackey and Martha V. Mackey (Zasoski); and his sister Kate Solomon. He is survived by: his wife Annette Mackey; his daughters, Angie Fox (Jeff) of Buffalo, MN and Heather Mackey (Paul Schrader); his grandchildren, Allison Johnson (Joe Hall), Sadie Fox and Leo Fox; his great grandchild Shelby Haberling; and his brothers, Roger, Chuck and Dan Mackey (Kelly). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, memorials may be made in Howie's name to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church or St. Vincent de Paul, P.O. Box 98, Superior, WI 54880.
