He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Lee and Clara (Nelson); his wife Shirley Lee; his siblings, Glen, Jack, Edward and Elaine; and his stepson Wade Whetstone.

He is survived by: his children, Bernard Lee (Lisa) and Alison Roberts; and his stepchildren, Cindy Neumann, Rodney Whetstone and Scott Whetstone. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
