He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lenore Brown (Higgins) and Stephen Horvath; his wife Susan (Darst); his daughters, Kate Horvath (Joe Wicklund) and Brooke Igl (Eric Igl); his grandchildren, Nolan and Brynnie; his sister Suzanne Rooney; and his sisters-in-law, Kathy Berchild (John) and Joyce Darst. He was also cherished by his nieces and nephews, family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a Veteran's Centered Charity.
