He was predeceased by: his children, Mary, Peter and Katherine; his grandson Matthew Calvano; his brothers, James (Shirley), Theodore and Thomas; his brothers-in-law, Thomas Kaemmerer and Jerome LaLonde; and his parents, William Theodore Wambach, Sr. and Julia Catherine Wambach (Cleary).

He is survived by: his wife Lorette Wambach (LaLonde); his children, William Wambach (Debra), Julie Hermanson (James), Ann Blackman (Scott), Margaret Gamero (Gustavo) and Martha Fechner (John); his sisters, Julie Wambach, Veronica Sudbrink (Harold) and Therese Kaemmerer; and his sisters-in-law, Joanne Wambach, Lucienne Bittl (Gerald) and Marilyn LaLonde. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
