He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ziesch and Lillian Ziesch (Anderson); his wife Ede; his siblings-in-law, Sybil Ziesch, Thelma Degner and Gary McElmurry; and his nieces, Diane Laes and Dianne Hatzung.

He is survived by: his children, Cher Breunig (John) and Doug Ziesch; his grandchildren, Beau Breunig (Shannon) and Bobbi Getter (Chris); his great grandchildren, Bryce, Shea Breunig, Elin, Dylan and Carlin Getter; his siblings, Bob, John Ziesch (Barb) and Joyce McElmurry; and his brother-in-law Bud Degner. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews.
