He was predeceased by: his wife Beverly "Bev" Bischoff; his siblings, Danny Statz, Donnie Statz, Catherine Keller and Phyllis Frank; his parents-in-law, Herman and Mabel Bischoff; and his siblings-in-law, Virginia Olson, Sharon Bischoff, Terri Statz, Don Keller and Bennie Olson.

He is survived by: his children, Dennis (Laurie), Matt (Jonie), Diane Miller (Bruce), Mary O'Connell (Bill), Pam Whalen, Penny Gessler (Tim) and Robin (Ali); his grandchildren, Shane, Alex Statz, Leah, Cole Statz, Haley, Hannah, Hudson Miller, Danny (Natalie), Shaun (Annie), Patrick (Allie), Caitlin O'Connell, Quinn Whalen and Alexis Brady (Matt); his children, Nate, Zach, Alex Gessler, Krisi Stark (Brian) and Melody Statz; his great grandchildren, Dylan, Maggie O'Connell, Charlie, Wilder O'Connell, Brecken, Callan, Rosie Stark and Rozlyn Brady; his brothers, Richard Statz (Veronica), James Statz (Kathy) and Roger Statz (Betty); and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Statz and Ivan Frank.
