She is survived by: her son Alex Wankerl (Allie) of Dubuque, Iowa; her aunt Henriette Hawkins (Norman); her uncle Richard Van Woelderen (Bernadette); and her cousins, Chandra, Cody Kleinsmith and Derek Van Woelderen (Brent). She is also survived by many other cousins, relatives and friends, including her work family.
