Rita Tubbs Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 1, 2025, at the age of 89, Rita Tubbs (Sun Prairie, Wisconsin) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rita Tubbs to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ted Kexel and Anne Kexel; her husband Tom; her son Mike; her sisters, MaryEllen Morrisey and Donna Cain; her son-in-law Mike Lane; and her grandson Jacob Lane.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Lane of Delafield, Julie Luthy (Matt) of Seattle, WA, John (Mary) of Wausau, Jeff (Maralee) of Sun Prairie, Jim (Tonya) of Cross Plains and Steve (Lori) of Sun Prairie; and her siblings, Patty Kexel of Madison, Duane Kexel (JoAnne) of Madison and Phyllis Kerschner (Bill) of Elm Grove. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jesus and Mary Catholic Church (227 Columbus St, Sun Prairie, WI 53590). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at the Final Resting Place Sacred Hearts Cemetery (1001 Columbus St, Sun Prairie, WI 53590).
