He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Vessely and John Vessely; his brother Robert Vessely; and his parents-in-law, Bud and Sue Erb.

He is survived by: his wife Susan Vessely; his children, Sarah Stelzer (Josh), Katie Vessely (Eric LaRue) and John Vessely (Jillian); his grandchildren, Brady, Grace, Beckett and Connor; his sister Nancy Burton; and his pet Shiloh. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
