He was predeceased by: his father John I. Kelley. He is survived by: his mother Joanne E. Kelley (Leslie Bundy); his son John Kelley; his significant other Leslie Bundy; his daughter Caitlin Kelley; his siblings, Caitlin Bundy, Collin Bundy, Karen Kelley Wolter (Chuck) and Patti Kelley Lawrimore (Todd); his nephews, Zachary, Jack Wolter and William Lawrimore; and his niece Hannah.

In lieu of flowers, John's family asks that donations be made to the Children's Miracle Network or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
