She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hinton and Pauline Hinton (Curtis); her husband Frank Elam; and her brothers, Jack Hinton and Jerry Hinton.
She is survived by: her children, David Elam (Barbara) of Carbondale, Greg Elam (Collette) of Vail, Arizona and Debra Espedal (Irv) of DeForest, Wisconsin; and her grandchildren, Kit Elam (Natalie), Cody Elam (Jenni), Jordan Espedal (Patricia), Ashley Hanson (Tim), Josh Elam (Holly), Jeremy Elam and Jesse Elam (Christina). She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
