He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Christina Koch (Justin) and Geoffrey Utphall (Brooke); his grandchildren, Ava, Brody, Nolan and Deklan; and his sisters, Mary Thalacker and Fran Solem. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
