He is survived by: his wife Barb Hein of Waterloo; his daughters, Deb Fields (John Nordbo) of Madison and Mary Hustedt (Eric) of Madison; his stepchildren, Curt Hein (Char) of Beaver Dam and Sue Hein (Moe) of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Miranda, Samuel, Thomas, Joshua and Jennifer; and his great grandchildren, Jade, Jemma and Jasmine.
Memorials may be given to Rainbow Hospice or the National Park Foundation.
