He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Smith and Grace Huntington (Ireland); and his brother Larry Smith. He is survived by: his wife Jean Smith; and his children, Barbara Weihert (Greg) of Waterloo, Kristi Klawitter (Robert) of Sun Prairie, Annette Schmitt, Jr. (Leon) and Robert Smith of Waterloo. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Memorials are requested to be sent to Cress Sun Prairie and will be directed to the family.
