With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward F Connolly in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, born in Dubuque, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 8, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Connolly and Marguerite Connolly (Skahill). He is survived by: his wife Joyce Wessel; his children, Ryan (Sarah) of Seattle, WA and Laura Bah (Abdoulie) of Sun Prairie; his grandchildren, Rhett, Amelia Connolly, Omar, Ousman and Gibriel Bah; and his brother Patrick Connolly (Anne) of Solon, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home (302 Columbus St, Sun Prairie, WI 53590). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Hearts Catholic Church (229 Columbus St, Sun Prairie, WI 53590).

Donations can be made to Sunshine Place in Sun Prairie.

“I first met Ed Connolly in the Iowa National Guard about 1967. Ed and myself and 3 others in the Guard become very very close personal friends. We were almost like brothers. We did a lot of things together and created many fond memories I still reflect on those times quite often. I also had the privilege of being at the wedding of Ed and Joyce in Colesberg Iowa Ed you and your family are in my prayers . May your soul rest in peace.”
