With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dean Wetzel (Sun Prairie, Wisconsin), who passed away on February 17, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Dean farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Dean is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton (Bud) and Edith (Ede); and his brothers, Randal and Milton. He is survived by: his sisters, Paula Carter (Lowell) of Madison, WI, Trudy Goderstad (Paul) of Green Bay, WI and Barbara Wetzel of Middleton, WI.; his sister-in-law Kathleen Ripp; and his nieces and nephews, Tom Carter, Anders Goderstad (Brittany), Torin Goderstad (Cherie), Tara Johnston (Haydn), Cailin Wetzel and Megan Wetzel (Jon Bucholtz). He is also survived by 10 great nephews and nieces.
