He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his son Daniel Michael Janis III; his daughter-in-law Tara Burghart; his granddaughter Johanna (Hannah); his daughter Angela Janis; his sisters, Marilyn Dodson and Linda Wiles; his brother-in-law Rick Wiles; and also, Washington D., John Stewart, Stephen, Rally, Restore Sanity and Fear.
