She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Hanson and Hannah Hanson (Anderson); her grandson Chad Ellis; her husband Marvin Benjamin Ellis; her daughter Sue Gardner; and her siblings, Clifford, Martin Peterson and Hazel Moe.
She is survived by: her son Steve Ellis (Kathy) of Lodi, Mark; her close friend Floyd Gustrowsky; her grandchildren, Lisa Parsons (Michael) of Florida, Benjamin Ellis (Tracy) of Poynette, Sara Brewer (Jim) of Janesville, Adam Fredendall (Kasey) of Colorado, Kevin Fredendall (Mary) of Madison, Ron Gardner (Julie) of Stoughton and Stephanie Wanninger (Terry) of Stoughton; her sister Patricia Wilberg (Rodney) of Janesville; and her sisters-in-law, Esther Ellis of Colorado and Mary Lynn Langsdorf (Jon) of Poynette. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
