He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Sowinski and Evelyn Sowinski (LaPorte); his wife Betty Robinson; his siblings, Dorothy Cirilli (Fred) and Henry John Sowinski; his brother-in-law Donald Roberts; his nephew Vincent Sowinski; and his friend Tom Hansen.

He is survived by: his children, Little League, Greg Sowinski (Mary Jo) of Sugar Camp, Theresa Hamilton (Gary) of Sugar Camp, Sue Oestreich of Rhinelander, Eve Wagler (Jay) of Rhinelander and John Sowinski (Brenda) of Sugar Camp; his grandchildren, Amy, Jim (Kayla Sowinski), Lacey Kimpel (Scott), Allen (Eric Hamilton), Josh, Molly (Jacob Wagler), Emily (Macy Sowinski), Christie (Marisa Oestreich) and Ashley Jaeger (Josh); his great grandchildren, Logan, Gavin, Ayla and Clara Jaeger; and his siblings, Alvin Sowinski (Shirley) of Sugar Camp, Henry "Butch" Sowinski (Diane) of Sugar Camp and Mary Ann Roberts of Rhinelander. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many in laws.
