She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph VannieuwenHoven and Ida VannieuwenHoven; her husband Lester Zakowski; her children, Stevie Zakowski and Polly Robinson; and her sister Rita.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janet Ruch, Betty Zakowski, Joyce Martell, Barb Zakowski and Karen Werner (Ken); and her brother Joseph Van. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and dozens of friends.
