He was predeceased by: his parents, William Harju and Martha Harju (Kettunen) of Bruce Crossing, MI.; his brother Douglas; his brother-in-law Jim Gray; and his former wife Susan.

He is survived by: his wife Geri Lynn; his sisters, Ruth Novak (Mike) of Green Bay, WI and Darlene Gray of Winter Springs, FL.; his niece Yvonne Gilbertson (Mark); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Haley, Hannah and Hope; his nephew Jeff Novak (Jennifer); his great-niece Jillian; his great-nephew Devin; his nephew William Novak (Mary Savig); his great-nephew John; his nephew Jason Gray; and also, Alex Mleziva (Jenny), Ethan, Brayden, Addisyn, Geri and Stephanie Mleziva.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, masks and social distancing will be required and enforced during all services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made and will be given to the Green Bay Humane Society in Jim's name.

“To Jim's loved ones: I was shocked and sad to hear of Jim's death. He was a hard-working and loving husband to my sister, Sue Warren Harju (deceased), and a compassionate and loving "dog Dad" to his dogs. Years ago, when we visited Sue and Jim with our children, Jim enjoyed taking our kids on the 4-wheeler and letting them drive the skid steer at their farm. Sue died Sept. 17, 2014 and now Jim passed on Sept 16 just seven years later. I'm so sorry for your loss. With Sincere Sympathy, Kathie Brinkman”
