He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Grimes and Leah Grimes; his children, Victoria and David Lee; his wife Jean; and his grandson Christopher Jr. (CJ).
He is survived by: his sons, Harold Jr. and Christopher Joseph (Robyn); and his grandchildren, Harold III Grimes (Trisha), Sioux Falls, Adam Grimes, Amanda Grimes, Scott Goretcke (Yojung), Augusta, Paul Goretcke (Deanna), Marshall Beck (Ashley), Green Bay, Ashley Leuthner (Nick), Heather, Michelle, Skylar Grimes, Robert Lever (Kara) of Kokomo, IN, Brooke Rose of Lenexa, KS and Kylie Brunette. He is also survived by six great grandchildren, many relatives and friends.
