He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Slusarek and Mary Slusarek (Swiergel); his in-laws, Jessie and Danail Casper (Monica); and his brother-in-law Hank Kontny.
He is survived by: his wife Carleen Casper; his children, Michelle Huempfner (Thomas), Gregg Slusarek (Kirstin), Saundra Laskowski (Robert) and Suzette Hackl-Kroll (Dean Kroll); his foster children, Nancy Bain (Butch), Laurie Overesch (Daniel) and Michael Rabideau (Julie); his grandchildren, Sarah, Rachael, Nathan, Maria, Alicia, Olivia, Julia, Taylor, Tanner, Carlee, Cameron, Nate, Noah, Jeremy, James, Michaela and Morgan; his siblings, Monica Kontny, Bernardine Walske (Russ) and Thomas Slusarek (Monica); and his in-law Melodee Peot. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
