He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Jane Wendorf; and his children, Jay II (Rochelle) and Marilyn. He was also cherished by 8 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
In keeping with Jay's wishes, in lieu of flowers, the suggests donations to the Sylvania Cemetery Association, where his daughter Marilyn is laid to rest.
