He is survived by: his sons, William "Billy" Van Allen III (Tara) of Rice Lake, WI and Samuel Van Allen (Alysa); the mother of his children Laurie Van Allen; his grandchildren, Trenton, Gage, Emmett and Kingsley; his siblings, John Van Allen (Kim), Mike Van Allen and Julie Van Allen; and his close friend Valerie DeLair.
