It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Sampone (Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin), who passed away on September 26, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Sampone and Margaret Grace Sampone (Burlo); his wife Margaret Ellen Husby; his granddaughter Amber Haberli; his great grandchild Everly Mae Nelson; and his brothers-in-law, Peter, Mark, John, Maurice, Charles, James Husby, Harold Gerdmann, Jr. and Ralland "Otto" Rohr.
He is survived by: his children, Laurie Haberli (John), William "Bill" Sampone (Cheryl) of New London and Julie Jonas (Wade); his grandchildren, Katie, Aaron Raynier, Isaiah, Molly Haberli, Brooke Nelson (Reece), Ashley, Phil Jedras, Dominik, Hunter Jonas and Pam Clement; his great grandchildren, Andrew Jensen, Rhett, Reid Nelson, Mercedes, Mackensie, Masen and Miles Clement; his brother Carl Sampone, Jr. of Sturgeon Bay; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Rohr, Cathy Gerdmann, Kris Husby-Nelson (Ranni) and Mary Husby of Keshena. He is also survived by stepfather, Pat Lake of Sturgeon Bay; step-siblings.
His life will be honored with a memorial service held at 11:30 a. m. on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay with visitation beginning at 9:30 a. m. At the request of the Sampone family, those in attendance of the visitation and/or service are kindly asked to wear a face mask and maintain social distancing.
