With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verda C. Gigstad of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, who passed away on March 8, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Uecker and Myrtle Uecker (Kohlmorgen); her husband Wallace E. Gigstad; and her siblings, Kenneth Uecker (Marilyn), Lynn Uecker (Anita) and Jane Hoffman.
She is survived by: her children, Penny Angerer (Tony) and Jan Gigstad (Barbara); her granddaughters, Kate Gigstad (Michael) and Anna Reaves (Douglas); her great grandchildren, Henry and Vivienne Reaves; and her brothers, Lloyd (Lyla) and Leland Uecker (Carol) of Sturgeon Bay.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Forbes Funeral Home (319 W Spruce St, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
