She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvah Maurice and Grace Slaughter (Phillips); her husband Curran Clark Wilbanks; her granddaughter Christina Marie Hlavaty; and her sister Patricia Baugh.

She is survived by: her children, Margaret Hlavaty (Henry) of Willowbrook, IL, Robert Wilbanks (Sharon) of Charlotte, NC, Stephen Wilbanks (Jennifer) of Sedalia, MO, Janet DeVito (Richard) of Sturgeon Bay and Nancy Hendrickson (Tim) of Eden Prairie, MN; her brother William Slaughter (Katherine "Kitty") of Marion, AR; and her friend Millard Christianson of Sturgeon Bay. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given in Margaret's name for the St. Ann's Society.
