He was predeceased by: his parents, George Henkel and Olga Henkel (Peterson); his brother George; and his sister-in-law Jackie Henkel II (Stellwagen). He is survived by: his wife Jean Marie VanDuyse; his children, Mark Henkel of Columbus, Monica Phillips (Ralph) of San Antonio, Brian Henkel (Gail) of Mount Dessert and Eric Henkel (Tammy) of Sturgeon Bay; his grandchildren, Monique Owens (Drew), Andrew DeWitte (Miranda), John DeWitte, Harriet Henkel, Lexie Henkel, Hallie Henkel and Luke Henkel; his great grandchild Langston Owens; his nephew George Henkel III (Julie); and his niece Stacey Volkmann (Kirk).
Due to the current state advisories regarding COVID-19, Larry will be laid to rest in a private graveside ceremony at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Institute.
Memorial donations may be made in Larry's name to SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church or Door CANcer, Inc. Huehns Funeral Home, Inc. & Door County Crematory LLC are assisting the Henkel family.
