He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Julius and Carol Catherine Volkmann (Junion); and his brother Kevin Volkmann. He is survived by: his wife Stacey; his children, Kyle Volkmann (Amy), Kambria Volkmann (Hunter) and Ella Volkmann; his grandchildren, Hadley, Jack Volkmann and Arthur Werth; his siblings, Kim Schopf (Gary), Konnie Gordon, Kris Volkmann and Keith Volkmann (Mary); and his brother-in-law George Henkel (Julie).
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A wake was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 8:45 PM at the Parish Wake Service. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church - Institute (4767 Dunn Rd, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235).
In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made in Kirk's name to Sevastopol Pioneer Athletic Booster Club (SPABC) (4550 Hwy 57, Sturgeon Bay WI 54235).
