He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Joe Schaefer (Kari) of Denmark, WI and Melissa Schaefer of Sturgeon Bay; his grandchildren, Mikayla Schaefer and Taylor Schaefer; his mother-in-law Helen Peterson; his sisters, Mary Maggle of Sturgeon Bay and Barb Tanck of Green Bay; and his siblings-in-law, Wayne Peterson (Vicky) of Egg Harbor, Gerald Peterson (Betty) of Fish Creek, Donald Peteson (Angela) of Sturgeon Bay and Shirley Groth of De Pere. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; cousins; and friends.
