He was predeceased by: his parents, Merton Joseph and Sylvia Elsie Crass (Walker); his siblings, Charles Crass, Karen Warren (Edward) and Shirley Miller (Rod); and his sister-in-law Suncha Crass.

He is survived by: his wife Chris of Sturgeon Bay; his son Tim Crass (Stacey) of Fond; his siblings, Roger Crass, Dale Crass (Sue), Phil Crass (Debbie) and Susie Shaw (Jim); his brother-in-law Jim Nell (Debbie); and his close friend Dale Peterson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Jim's name to the Wisconsin Humane Society Door County Campus or the Alzheimer's Association.
