He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Aaron Sargent and Mary Lou Beatrice Sargent (Whipple); his wife Susan Marie Jennerjohn; his brothers, Joseph and Steven; and his brother-in-law Michael Jennerjohn.

He is survived by: his children, Andrea Wipperfurth (Steve) of Sturgeon Bay, Elizabeth Sargent of Sturgeon Bay and Daniel Sargent of Burlington; his grandchildren, Mikayla and Lauren Franda; his siblings, Diane Konrad (Robert) of Sturgeon Bay, Lou Ann Papke, Brian Sargent (Cindy), Dennis Sargent (Bonnie) of Carlsville and James Sargent of Iron Mountain, MI; and his siblings-in-law, Steven Jennerjohn, David Jennerjohn (Marion), Larry Jennerjohn (Jane), Robert Jennerjohn (Kim Bagnall), Paul Jennerjohn, Diane Hanisko (Wally), Lois Goetz (Matt), Ruth Drexler (Gregg), Mary Bittorf (Darrin) and Patti Jennerjohn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends.
