He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Sale and Eleanor Ann Kern (Marik); his siblings, Raymond Kern (Virginia), Regina Junion (Harvey), Florence McCann (Joe) and Mary Bongle (Lawrence); his parents-in-law, Otis and Helen Kimber; and his sister-in-law Beatrice Barnstein (Charles).
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Leslie Thesing (Ken) of La Crosse, Lori Drexler (Gary) of Sturgeon Bay and Richard (Dawn); his grandchildren, Brandon (Lara), Bryce, Brenson Cox, Kyle (Yoko), Alia Drexler, Harrison and Lindsey Kern; his great grandchildren, Breighlynn, Briley, Brayton Cox and Ena Drexler; and his sister-in-law Beryl Magle (Milton). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
