He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Carlyle Remy and Ann Irene Remy (Peterson); his wife Patricia Ann Pinney (Pat); his siblings-in-law, George Pinney and Joyce "Pooky" Peotter; and his niece Majel Pinney-Henrickson.
He is survived by: his children, Dr. Jeannine Remy (Tobago) of Trinidad, Judith Hilgers (Joseph) of Gordon, WI and Joseph Remy (Randy Armijo) of Silver Spring, MD.; his grandchildren, Drew Hilgers (Abbie), Sean Hilgers (Maggi), Brenna Hilgers, Seth Remy and Shea Remy; his great grandchild Mackenna Hilgers; his sister-in-law Julie Pinney (John Propsom); his nieces and nephews, Dr. Tanner Pinney (Claire), Dr. Ben Pinney (Amy), Burke Pinney, Janelle Peotter (Eric Perlman) and Ben Peotter (Cheryl); his brother-in-law Thomas Pinney, Jr. (Myra); and his nieces and nephews, Cheryl Pinney-Leu (late George) and Geoff Pinney (Sonja).
The Remy family kindly requests that those in attendance of the visitations and/or funeral service wear a face mask and respect social distancing.
Memorials may be given in Gene's name for Friends of the Door County Park System and/or Peninsula Players.
