He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gauger and Elizabeth Gauger; his siblings, Emily Spittlemeister (Alfred), Reginald Gauger, Harvey Gauger, Orville Gauger and Dorothy Sawyer (Norbert); and his brother-in-law Norbert Stanecki.
He is survived by: his wife Esther Peil; his daughter Vickie Viste (John); his grandsons, Chad Viste and Joshua Viste (Melissa); his great grandchildren, Alaina and Caleb Viste; his sister Elizabeth Stanecki; and his sisters-in-law, Angeline Gauger, Lois Gauger and Eunice Gauger.
