He was predeceased by: his parents, George Brauer and Helen Brauer (Kozlowski); and his son Randall Scott Brauer. He is survived by: his sons, Steven Brauer (Sharon), Gregory Brauer, Mark Brauer and Michael Brauer (Maryann Dagata); and his siblings, Eugene Brauer (Janet), Robert Brauer and Karen Jenkins (Steve). He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
