He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Lionel Herlache and Edna T. Herlache (Stoeger); his son Kevin; his son-in-law Torry Lautenbach; his sister Sharon Gill; and his siblings-in-law, Lorene Moore (John), Marilyn Voeks (Norman), Elmer Neinas and Audrey Neinas.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; his daughters, Penny Gunnlaugsson (Maynard) of Sturgeon Bay and LuAnn Poh of Sturgeon Bay; his siblings-in-law, Darell Gill of Lyndon Station, Clarice Ripp of Sturgeon Bay, Donald Neinas (Elaine) of Sturgeon Bay and Elton Neinas of Haines City, FL; and his friend John Parks. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given in Carl's name for the Wisconsin Humane Society-Door County Campus (3475 Park Drive, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235).
