In loving memory of Ruth I. Engen (Strum, Wisconsin), who departed this world on January 27, 2025 at the age of 98. Ruth leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Omar M. Engen; and her siblings, John Maug, Clarence Maug, Chester Maug, Lillian Myhre, Corrine Ottestad and Harriet Anderson.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Ryu Schaub, Jonathan Schaub (Katie), Heidi Kerns (Johnathon), Stephen Nikolai (Rosa), Ann Engen (Joe Strande), Kate Brack (Austin), Amy Ostertag Kloiber (Mike Spang), Aaron Ostertag (Kristen), Kellie Ostertag and Andrew Ostertag; her great grandchildren, Carson Kloiber, Nolan Spang, Ryan, Aiden, Mackenzie Ostertag, JaeMin Schaub, Everett, Callahan, Rory Kerns, Georgiana, James Nikolai, Emerson Brack and Ellie Strande; her sister-in-law Nila Maug; and also, Peggy Schaub (Ken) of Sun Prairie, WI, Pam Nikolai (James) of Marshfield, WI, Kurt Engen (Donna) of Mondovi, WI, Karen Ostertag (Art) of Appleton, WI and Tim Engen.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (109 Elm St, Strum, WI 54770). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
