He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Carey and Helen Carey (Kuri); his wife Dorothy Mae Temple; his son Scott; his brothers, Robert and James Carey; and his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Walter, Sr. and David Reed.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Kassidy Thompson; his children, Tim Carey (Laurel) of Stratford and Lisa Thompson (Michael) of Stratford; his grandchildren, Steven Carey, David Carey (Kerra), Joseph Carey, Alexander Thompson and Natalie Thompson; his sisters, Kathleen Walter of Waukesha and Luann Reed of New Berlin; and his siblings-in-law, Tracy Carey of Cape Coral, FL, Paul Temple (Mary) of Post Falls, ID and William Temple (Patricia) of Duluth, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
