She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Kelch and Luella Kelch; her husband Bill Kalscheur; her sons, Harlan Steindl Jr. and Alan Steindl; and her siblings, Grace Tofte, Lorraine Harezlak and Ken Kelch.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Daniel, Alisha Hereid, Corey Fraser, Matthew and Jennifer Carpenter; her great grandchildren, Preston Hughbanks and Landon Fraser; her grandchildren, Sandy Lindemann-Van Galder of Evansville, Darrell Steindl, Vicki Oaks of Edgerton, Ryan, Garrett Lindemann, Ben Van Galder, Jeremie, Jerod Steindl, April Steindl and Chris Oaks; and her great grandchildren, Marcus, Tristan, Azaria Steindl, Lyle, Maelle Lindemann, Trever, Kayla, Mason, Austin, Bella and Andrew Oaks. She is also survived by many relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Shirley's name to Dane County Humane Society or an animal rescue of the donors choice.
